How do I access my purchase?
You can login to your GBES account here to get started!
Can I access my materials from anywhere?
Yes, all products can be accessed through your GBES account, which can be viewed on any internet-ready device.
Can more than one person use my account?
GBES Products are licensed for Single User Only. Account sharing is prohibited and can result in the loss of access. All exam prep and CE Courses are programmed to track a single user’s progress.

How long can I access my materials?
All Exam Prep is available for 1 year from the date of purchase.
CE Credits remain available until they are used. Completed CE Courses stay in your account for your records.
I just purchased products from your website. Will I receive a hard copy of these materials?
All materials are available online and can be accessed instantly after purchase. Select resources are also available for download.

How do I change my email address?
After logging into your GBES account, click on your name in the top right corner. Then click on "Account" from the drop-down menu.
How do I reset my password?
You can reset your password by using our “Forgot Password” link.
How do I update my profile information?
After logging into your GBES account, click on your name in the top right corner. Then click on "Profile" from the drop-down menu.
I'm not able to locate my materials.

How do I contact GBES Customer Care?

Exam Prep
What versions are the current exams based on?
LEED Green Associate: Based on LEED v5.
LEED AP BD+C, ID+C, and O+M: Based on LEED v5. These exams are still in BETA until February 2027.
LEED AP Homes and LEED AP Neighborhood Development (ND): Remain based on LEED v4.
SITES AP: Based on SITES v2 and the SITES v2 Reference Guide.
WELL AP: Based on WELL Building Standard v2 (WELL v2)
Do you offer materials in other languages?
At this time, our courses, study materials, practice exams, and other resources are available only in English. We recognize the need for additional language options and are actively exploring opportunities to offer select materials in other languages in the future. Please check back for updates as new offerings become available.
How do I schedule my LEED exam?
You will need to create a USGBC account if you do not have one already. Once your account is created you can purchase your desired exam. After purchase, USGBC will provide you with an Eligibility ID in which you will use to schedule your exam at https://www.prometric.com/gbci
Exam can currently be taken Online or at your local Prometric testing center.
How much does the LEED exam cost?
The LEED Green Associate exam costs $200 for USGBC members, or $250 for non-members. The LEED AP exams each cost $250 for USGBC members, or $350 for non-members. It is possible to take the LEED Green Associate and one LEED AP exam together. This combined exam costs $400 for USGBC members, or $550 for non-members.
*If you are a veteran of the United States military, you are eligible for 100% reimbursement for any LEED exam. The Veterans Administration recommends following the following steps:
1. Register for the exam and take the test.
2. Fill out this form, and send the form with a copy of your receipt for the exam (available in your usgbc.org profile under “Orders”), and a signed, dated statement authorizing the release of your exam scores to the VA at the address on the form listed above.
3. It will take 4-12 weeks to process.
When can I take the exam?
Do I need to have project experience before taking the LEED Green Associate exam?
No. You do not need project experience to take the LEED Green Associate exam, although exposure to green building and sustainability concepts is recommended.
Do I have to take the LEED Green Associate exam before taking a LEED AP exam?
Yes. To earn a LEED AP with Specialty credential (such as LEED AP BD+C, ID+C, O+M, ND, or Homes), you must first have a LEED Green Associate credential. The LEED Green Associate serves as the prerequisite credential for LEED AP specialties. Or you can schedule a combined exam sitting for the Green Associate and a LEED AP consecutively.
Continuing Education
How many Continuing Education Hours do I need?
A LEED Green Associate must earn and report 15 continuing education hours during each 2-year reporting period, with at least 12 General CE hours and 3 Rating System-specific CE hours.
LEED APs with specialty, SITES APs, and WELL APs must earn and report 30 continuing education hours during each 2-year reporting period, with at least 24 General CE hours and 6 Rating System-specific CE hours that are relevant to their specialty.
Can more than one person use the courses?
No. These courses are intended for individual use only and may be applied toward the Continuing Education requirements of one user only. They cannot be shared or reported for multiple individuals.
Will you report my hours for me?
Yes, GBES reports continuing education completion hours to GBCI and AIA three times per week. After completing your course, please allow up to 5 business days for your credits to be processed and reflected in your GBCI or AIA account.
Please ensure you've enabled CE Reporting in your account and provide your GBCI and/or AIA member number(s).
What credentials or accreditations do your courses count towards?
Our continuing education courses are approved for LEED, WELL, and AIA credits, and many are also eligible for IIBEC, AICP, and CCM continuing education requirements. Each course is clearly marked for which it qualifies, making it easy to identify the credits that apply to your professional designation.
How do I report my WELL AP hours to IWBI?
Navigate to the “WELL AP” side tab, and click “Report CE hours.” When prompted, input the GBCI course number and the course length (in hours).
Why are my CE courses not showing on my USGBC Dashboard?
Please make sure you have enabled Auto-Reporting and provided us with the correct GBCI number. If you have done both and it’s been more than 5 days since you completed your CE, please get in touch with us at GB**********@****ud.com
I have multiple credentials, can I use the same courses to satisfy my requirements?
Yes, the same 24 “General” hours can be used, but the 6 LEED-specific courses have to be different for each LEED AP Credential you hold.
Where can I locate my GBCI Number?
Your GBCI Number is located in your USGBC account under your credentialing dashboard.

How do I renew my Credentials?
To maintain your LEED credential, you must complete the required Continuing Education (CE) hours within your reporting period, submit all continuing education activities, and renew your credential through your GBCI/USGBC account, paying the associated renewal fees.

What is the difference between GBES CORE and GBES PRO?
Both GBES CORE and GBES PRO provide access to exam preparation materials for eight sustainability credentials, live training events, monthly exam-taking tips calls, and continuing education resources.
GBES CORE includes:
Exam prep for 8 credentials
Live trainings and monthly coaching calls
15 continuing education (CE) hours per year
GBES PRO includes everything in CORE, plus:
Unlimited continuing education (CE) hours
Access to all specialty and career-growth courses, including professional development and sustainability-focused training programs
Which subscription is right for me?
Choose GBES CORE if you need exam prep and a limited number of CE hours each year.
Choose GBES PRO if you need unlimited CE hours, maintain multiple credentials, or want access to GBES specialty and career development courses.
Does the subscriptions auto-renew?
Yes, the GBES CORE and GBES PRO subscriptions are auto-renewing but can be managed in your GBES Account.
How can I manage my Subscription or update my payment option?
To manage your subscription, make sure you are logged into your GBES Account. From there, click on "Subscription", then click on "View" next to your Active Subscription. Here you can manage your auto-renewal, update your payment method, or even renew early!

What payment methods does GBES accept?
We accept all major credit cards, PayPal and after Afterpay.
Can I transfer a course to someone else?
If you are purchasing materials for someone else, we recommend using the recipient’s name and email address at checkout to ensure a smoother experience. If that is not possible, please email us at GB**********@****ud.com after your purchase, and we will be happy to help ensure the materials are assigned to the correct recipient.
What is GBES's refund policy?
Limited 21-Day Refund Policy
Refund eligibility depends on how long it has been since your purchase and whether you have accessed the course:
Days 1-7: Full refund if less than 20% of the course has been accessed.
Days 8-14: Full refund if the course has not been accessed at all.
Days 15-21: 50% refund if the course has not been accessed at all.
After 21 days: No refunds are available.
Please note that live online classes, masterclasses, and products marked non-refundable are not eligible for refunds. All refund requests must be submitted in writing within 21 days of purchase or renewal and will be processed back to the original payment method.
Can I change my purchase after checkout?
If you purchased the wrong product or would like to upgrade to a different one, please contact us at GB**********@****ud.com, and we'll do our best to assist you.
Please note that if it has been more than 21 days since your purchase, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your request.
