California AIA Requirements
Enrolling in the Zero Net Carbon Design (ZNCD) course is particularly advantageous for architects practicing in California. As of 2023, the California Architects Board mandates that licensed architects complete five hours of continuing education in zero net carbon design as a condition for license renewal. This requirement is in addition to the existing five-hour coursework on disability access, totaling ten hours of continuing education per renewal cycle.
By completing the ZNCD course, you will fulfill the state’s zero net carbon design education requirement, ensuring compliance with California’s licensing standards. Additionally, the course provides five AIA Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) Learning Units (LUs) and five LEED-specific BD+C hours, supporting your professional development and credential maintenance.
Stay ahead in sustainable design practices and meet California’s continuing education requirements by enrolling in the ZNCD course today.
