SUMMARY:Empowering Sustainable Design: Toolkits for Reducing Embodied Carbon in Steel
DESCRIPTION:In response to the urgent need for low-carbon building solutions\, the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) has launched a robust sustainability initiative in partnership with the Architecture Center to support architects. This session will introduce attendees to AISC’s Sustainability Toolkits for owners and designers\, which equip architects\, engineers\, and developers with the strategies and resources needed to make informed\, sustainable choices in structural steel design. Attendees will gain actionable knowledge to support sustainable decision-making\, align with industry best practices\, and reduce embodied carbon in the built environment. \nBy the end of the session\, attendees will be able to:\n– Describe how to effectively use the designer toolkit in projects\, including the specification and design strategies. \n– List available resources for developer clients for improved project collaboration and aligned sustainability goals. \n– Explain three potential specification strategies designers can implement to ensure they are procuring the lowest embodied carbon steel available. \n– Identify why reused structural steel reduces the embodied carbon of a steel building project when compared with traditional procurement. \nThis webinar can be self-reported for 1 free general-hour credit toward LEED\, WELL\, and/or AIA continuing education. \n\n\n\nRegister

SUMMARY:From Prep to Passing: Credential Orientation - October
DESCRIPTION:This monthly live orientation session is designed for learners enrolled in exam prep for LEED Green Associate\, LEED AP\, or WELL AP who want a clear understanding of the credential exam process. This session does not teach exam content. Instead\, it focuses on what to expect before\, during\, and after your exam so you can approach test day with confidence. \nTopics include: \n\nHow to register for your exam and choose a testing format\nWhat the exam experience looks like on test day\nKey exam rules\, policies\, and common mistakes to avoid\nHow scoring and results work\nWhat is required to maintain your credential after you pass\n\nBy the end of the session\, you will understand the full exam process and know exactly what steps to take from registration through credential maintenance. \n\n\n\nRegister

SUMMARY:From Data to Assurance: Developing a Verification-Ready GHG Inventory
DESCRIPTION:Building a credible greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory is the foundation of effective climate reporting and successful third-party assurance. This webinar will provide practical guidance on developing a verification-ready GHG inventory\, including defining organizational boundaries\, identifying emission sources\, applying emission factors\, and implementing effective data management practices. Attendees will better understand Scope 1\, 2\, and 3 emissions; source data traceability; materiality and risk assessments; and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes. The session will also explore the differences between limited and reasonable assurance\, highlight common verification findings\, and share best practices to improve data quality\, transparency\, and audit readiness. By the end of the webinar\, participants will be better equipped to strengthen their GHG reporting programs and prepare for future verification and assurance engagements. \nBy the end of the session\, attendees will be able to:\n– Build a credible GHG inventory\n– Improve data quality and documentation\n– Prepare for future verification\n– Align GHG reporting practices with verification expectations \nThis webinar can be self-reported for 1 free general-hour credit toward LEED\, WELL\, and/or AIA continuing education. \n\n\n\nRegister
