This one hour course for architects, residential designers, specifiers, building owners and residential builders, discusses generaldaylighting principles and looks at dynamic window systems which support daylighting, in particular electrochromic windows. No prerequisite knowledge required to take this course and once finished the reader should be able to describe the challenges for daylighting design, compare and contrast dynamic window options to electrochromic window systems with respect to energy management,understandhow electrochromic windows function, list the components that make up an electrochromic control system, and describe different methods of electrochromic glazing control.
